At 11 months, ANSEL LOVES:

CLAPPING

RIDING IN THE SHOPPING CART
many ladies smile at him and want to touch his hair

(RIDE HOME FROM SHOPPING, NOT SO MUCH)

DISCOVERING A NEW SOUND HE CAN MAKE AND MOVING IT INTO MASS PRODUCTION
here he has just discovered a fake-vomiting sort of sound

ANSWERING THE PHONE - "H'YA?!"
or sauce pan, or remote control, whatever

GETTING DIRTY AT SCHOOL
otherwise the laundry would be boring!

SWINGING!
and trying out pick-up looks

CLIMBING AROUND, UP, AND THROUGH THIS PLAY STRUCTURE

CLIMBING IN GENERAL
here he has just discovered a new place to climb: into his car seat

WATCHING THE WORLD GO BY
here from a train, most often from the bike trailer

DRINKING WATER FROM A GLASS
he has just had some and is about to get some more

PLAYING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STAIRS

GOING WHERE HE SHOULDN'T

BEING OUTSIDE

TASTING
though less than before

AND MOST CERTAINLY, EATING
yogurt is a current favorite

And we sure do love Ansel.

OH MY GOODNESS! I'm hopping on the next plane. Ansel is too darn cute and has such personality! But is that any suprise? He is a JOY just to see in the photos - I can only imagine how much fun to be with him!!! Love to you all.

E. and B.: Just be careful no scouts from MGM, etc. get a look at him; they'd have him starring in commercials in a New York minute.
My favorite outfit on him is the one with shorts - or should I say Capri pants?
I'm relieved to see he hasn't shrunken up out there in Calif.; will he be 30 lbs. at one year?
And pretending the pan is a phone: that level of imagination must portend - say - Einsteinism.
Love, smiles, and virtual hugs, Gt. Gr. Barb

Grandma Barb,

I think those are long pants rolled up into capri-length pants.

He is still at ~26 lbs. When we moved out here (at ~6.5 months of age) he was ~24 lbs, so he hasn't be gaining much weight, just stretching out (although slowly). Elissa might need to correct these numbers.

Going through the photos for about the 17th time, I focused on the one of him in the swing, practicing - as Elissa claimed - his pick-up looks. I'd like to know how many chicks he snagged with this particular "come hither" look. - ?
